A Fairy Tale

We have been learning about different genres in class. Recently, we compared many well known fairy tales and became familiar with the common elements in these stories. Mrs. Partyka read aloud a modern fairy tale called The Tale of Despereaux. Despereaux is a mouse who saves the princess he loves from the dungeon. We also watched the movie and compared how the book and movie were alike and different. Despereaux lives happily ever after!

The Sun And The Wind

The sun and the wind debate who is more powerful. A man's coat is held on tighter as the wind blows and it gets cold. The sun competes by creating warmth. The sun wins as the man takes off his coat. Gwyneth, Trenton and Cameron enjoyed sharing this readers theater story with us.
