snow dayS 2011!
A huge winter storm hits Illinois leaving 20 inches of snow in some areas. Wayne Elementary was closed for three school days and the long clean-up process took place.

Songwriting!

Hi! I'm Emily. I like to write songs. Sometimes I write duets. The last song I wrote was called "I'll Never Forget You." Brianna and I sung it togewther. It's not just me who like writing songs. Katlyn and Brianna do too!
Stone Slop!

I performed a play called "Stone Soup." It is about a monster who asked five townspeople for a bowl, spoon, clothing, and many more things to make stone soup! All his friends came to his cave to eat and it was so good! Well...just to the monsters. They all wanted to eat the stone!

Spinning!

In science we are learning about balance and motion. We made twirlers and spinners and watched how air resistance made them spin to the floor slowly. The spinners were spinning so fast you could almost get your eyes crossed.
