Mystery Reader

Thank you Mrs. Moyer for being our first mystery reader! We loved The Book With No Pictures! It was a fun visit!

Communities

We are learning about communities in class and the students are very good at telling you about an urban, suburban, or rural community. They created their own suburban community and had to decide what to include in it. Many wanted extra parks for kids to play and a school located near their houses.

Book Reccommendations

Can you convince someone to read a book? My students can! After reading Snake Camp by George Edward Stanley these students created a poster and gave a summary and book rating of the book. Many chose to read it!

Our first reading lesson was learning how to read with expression. We practiced using our voices when reading what the characters are saying. The Piggy and Elephant books by Mo Willems are great stories to practice expression. The students chose to be one of the characters and enjoyed acting our the stories.
